Signature Collection Launch and LAC/USC Art Program

I am pleased to announce the launch of my Signature Collection, consisting of a group of my best photos taken to date. The first image I am presenting in this collection is Divine Grace, taken at Havasu Falls, Havasupai Reservation, AZ. This photo will also be on display as part of LAC/USC County Hospital’s Healing Through Art program, consisting of several pieces from Los Angeles painters and photographers. Their new hospital building will be showing Divine Grace in an effort to comfort and give healing to patients and families in a hospital environment, a concept started by Florence Nightengale in the late 1800’s.  In addition to the framed photo, a series of my images will be shown rotating on a 40 ft. wall starting in January, which should be visually stimulating and soothing, in an otherwise stressful environment.

I am extremely grateful to be a part of this program. This is why I take photos! If just one image I bring back from nature contributes toward healing, environmental awareness, or simply enhances someone’s life through the appreciation of nature’s beauty then I have done my job.

Many thanks to Martha and the board of directors at CARES Art Program, LAC/USC Hospital, Healing Through Art
